Patch test first on a small area for 24 hours before wider application. For infants under 12 months, or for any child with severe, infected, or rapidly worsening eczema, while we have yet to see any issues in these age groups, it is highly recommended to consult a paediatrician before use.

Yes, EXZEMAS™ Oil is designed to be used alongside most prescribed topical treatments, including corticosteroid creams, calcineurin inhibitors, and barrier-repair prescriptions. For best results, apply your prescribed treatment first, allow it to absorb for 10–15 minutes, then layer EXZEMAS™ Oil on top as a lipid-support barrier layer. Always follow your clinician’s instructions and let them know you’re adding a cosmetic oil to your routine — most doctors are supportive, but it’s good practice to tell them.

Skin experiences vary. Many customers report feeling improved comfort, reduced tightness, and less visible dryness within the first 1–2 weeks of consistent use. Some experience changes immediately (reduced itchiness, and irritation). Deeper barrier recovery, however, takes longer: the skin barrier renews itself on a roughly 28-day cycle, and meaningful change in dryness, flare frequency, and sensitivity typically becomes evident over 4–8 weeks of consistent twice-daily use. For severe or long-standing eczema, give it 8–12 weeks before evaluating. Barrier repair is cumulative, not acute.

The deeper goal of EXZEMAS™ is actually reduced reliance over time, as the skin barrier strengthens — our founder’s son now goes months at a time without needing it.

Stress is a well-documented trigger for eczema flares — chronic cortisol elevation measurably weakens the skin barrier, and the brain’s itch-processing circuits overlap with its emotional-regulation circuits. Each batch is small-batch crafted to ensure freshness, and the formulation is overseen directly by our founder SJ, a trained cosmetic formulator. All ingredients used comply with EU Cosmetics Regulation and Singapore HSA cosmetic standards.

EXZEMAS™ Cream is a water-containing daily moisturiser that combines hydration with emollient care. EXZEMAS™ Oil is a water-free (anhydrous) botanical blend that delivers concentrated lipid support without the water phase. The Cream suits most daily moisturising routines. The Oil is particularly useful for highly irritated, cracked, or steroid-withdrawn skin that may find conventional creams uncomfortable, or for anyone wanting a dedicated lipid-replenishment step. Many customers use both — the Cream for daytime hydration, the Oil for overnight barrier support or during flare-ups.

Yes, EXZEMAS™ Oil is suitable for facial use on dry, sensitive, or eczema-prone skin. Apply 2–3 drops to clean, slightly damp skin and gently press (don’t rub) into the face and neck. Avoid the immediate eye area. Because the formula contains naturally aromatic essential oils in low concentrations, patch test on the jawline for 24 hours before wider facial application. Many customers use it as a nighttime facial oil during flare periods and as a targeted spot-treatment for dry patches.

EXZEMAS™ Oil contains ingredients derived from botanical seeds and nuts, including argan kernel oil and shea butter (which can be considered tree nuts), and other plant-sourced lipids. If you have a known tree nut allergy, severe seed sensitivity, or anaphylactic history, please consult your doctor and patch test with extreme caution — ideally under medical supervision. On a personal note: our founder’s son, who has tree nut allergies, has used EXZEMAS™ Oil without issue — but we cannot generalise from one person’s experience to anyone else’s safety. For known tree nut allergies, please patch test under medical supervision.

EXZEMAS™ Oil is formulated with lipids chosen to support the skin barrier without heavy occlusion. Most of the oils used — including jojoba, argan, evening primrose, and the ceramide complex — have low comedogenicity ratings and are widely used in skincare for sensitive, acne-prone, and combination skin. However, individual skin responses vary. If you are highly acne-prone, start with facial application 2–3 nights per week rather than daily, and monitor your skin’s response. Single-ingredient oils like coconut, olive, or jojoba can be helpful for mild dryness but don’t address the specific lipid composition of a compromised skin barrier. EXZEMAS™ Oil is formulated around oat lipids, a ceramide complex (ceramide NP + AP + cholesterol + phytosphingosine), natural α-bisabolol, and black seed oil, supported by essential-fatty-acid-rich oils like evening primrose and borage. Together, these deliver what the stratum corneum actually uses to rebuild itself — not just general emollience. Pure coconut oil, by contrast, has been shown in dermatological research to sometimes worsen compromised skin due to its high lauric acid content.

EXZEMAS™ Oil has a soft, lightweight-but-nourishing texture — richer than a facial serum, lighter than a pure butter. It absorbs within 2–5 minutes of application, leaving a soft protective film rather than a heavy or shiny residue. A little goes a long way: 2–3 drops are enough for the face, 5–7 for a limb.
